Chilli con Carne
INGREDIENTS
1 tablespoon Oil
1 whole large onion
1 whole Red peppers
2 peeled garlic gloves
500 grams lean minced beef
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1 teaspoon Paprika
1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
0.5 teaspoon dried marjoram
2 teaspoon tomato Puree
400 grams chopped tomatoes
410 grams can red kidney beans
1 whole beef stock cube
150 ml water
DIRECTIONS
Fry the onion, pepper and garlic for 2 minutes.
Add the beef and cook until the mince is fully browned.
Now add the chilli, paprika, cumin and marjoram.
Cook for 1 minute before adding the sugar, puree, chopped tomatoes, kidney beans, stock and water.
Cook for 10 minutes then transfer into an oven dish-cover and cook in an oven at 160ºC for 1 hour.
Serve with boiled rice, tortilla chips and sour cream.
